Supper Under the Smoke

I feel like the past week was way too busy. We had a work retreat on Thursday and I had work events every night of the week. Blech.

I started Saturday off on the wrong foot by setting my alarm for 7:30 PM instead of AM, and I woke up too late to make the OTF class I was supposed to attend. The other classes had waitlists and I was not able to get into one at all which was a bummer.

Sari and I decided to see The Spy Who Dumped Me, so we loaded up to run some errands first. I stopped at the Charlotte Tilbury counter in Nordstrom to get new foundation, and the gal ended up doing the makeup for my entire face. Her efforts paid off because I bought all kinds of good stuff. The thing I am most excited about is the Light Wonder Youth-Boosting Perfect Skin Foundation. I use it under my foundation and it makes my skin look so nice. Two people at work even commented that my skin was looking extra nice yesterday! And that is really saying something because I was feeling all kinds of hungover.

I did end up getting the Magic Foundation as well, and it feels very light and does not make my skin oilier. So far so good!

We did not get to watch The Spy Who Dumped Me as originally planned, but we watched it last night and loved it!

On Sunday, I got up early and drove to Sutter Creek to hang out with Lisa and Rob since she apparently doesn’t get enough of me in the 14 hours we spend together at work each day. While Rob worked in the yard, Lisa and I walked down to Provisions to have a drink and a little bitty bit of cheese.

We spent a few hours hanging out with their friends before driving to Volcano for our main event of the day – Supper Under the Stars.

It was a lot of fun, but the smoke was really bad in the area, so that was no bueno. These fires are so so bad right now.

We stayed the night a little hotel in town, then woke up super early yesterday to get back to Sacramento in time to work. I felt AWFUL. My body was not made for Sunday night fun.
