I got a last minute spot at Agate Beach in Patrick’s Point State Park and it was SPECTACULAR. Each spot was secluded by the surrounding brush and trees, and it felt very private which was great.
We spent a few hours exploring the park and it was such perfect weather.
That evening, we walked down to Agate beach to explore and collect rocks (you are allowed to!). We are not beach people, but it was freaking gorgeous.
On our way back to Sacramento, we stopped at Humboldt Redwoods State Park and enjoyed the last bit of cool air and big trees before heading back into the sweltering valley. I am so glad my parents were able to come out for an entire week and I think this was one of the best trips we have taken. I love getting to explore California with them.
